This approximately 51,000 sf Comprehensive Cancer Center houses Radiation Oncology, an Infusion Center, tenant space for associated medical practices, and a hospital-wide conference center.  Our firm was responsible for the total design and construction administration of this building sited on an existing medical campus owned by Slidell Memorial Hospital.  The Radiation Oncology department includes multiple linear accelerator vaults, a HDR vault, and a C/T simulator room, as well as on-site facilities for a mobile PET scanner.  The exterior design of this building fits into the fabric of the community, matching the scale and material palate of surrounding buildings, while also alluding to the state-of-the-art patient care facility that lies within.  The balance of warm and cool tones, polished surfaces and natural materials in the interior design make the facility a welcoming and comfortable place for healing.
